Mitigation

What types of mitigation systems do you install?

Sub-slab depressurization (basement slab), sub-membrane depressurization (crawl space), radon-in-water removal systems and radon well installations. We recommend the right system after assessing your home.

How long does a mitigation installation take?

Most standard sub-slab or sub-membrane installations are done in 2–4 hours. Water treatment and radon well installations can take longer. We’ll give you a precise estimate after your free consultation.

What does a radon system cost?

Installations start at $1,200. The final price depends on system type, foundation and home size, and you get a flat-rate quote after a free onsite visit, before any work starts.

Do I need to be home?

Yes. We need access to your basement, crawl space or water system, and we walk you through the finished system before we leave.

What if my radon level is still high afterwards?

If your levels don’t drop below 4 pCi/L, we make it right. We recommend a follow-up test 24–48 hours after installation to confirm.

Can you fix a system another company installed?

Yes. We repair most system types and brands regardless of installer, and certify them for correct operation to NRPP standards. More on repairs.

Testing

How soon will I get my radon test results?

Short-term test results are typically available within a few days of the lab receiving the devices. Expedited turnaround is available for real estate transactions. We email your report directly.

Do you test commercial buildings as well as homes?

Yes. Commercial testing follows EPA and NRPP protocols, and we quote multi-unit and large commercial properties. Contact us for details.

What radon level is too high?

The EPA recommends fixing your home at 4 pCi/L or higher, and considering it between 2 and 4 pCi/L. About half of Colorado homes are above 4, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

My neighbor tested low. Do I still need to test?

Yes. Radon levels vary from house to house, even next door. Testing is the only way to know your own number. How to test.
